Refund & cancellation policy

Eligibility overview

Refunds depend on whether planning or fieldwork has begun, whether a deposit was paid under an engagement letter, and whether scheduled inventory observations or on-site days were cancelled with notice.

Timeframe to request

Refund requests should be sent in writing to hello@connectivityandsecurity.digital within fourteen days of the event giving rise to the request (for example, cancellation confirmation or invoice date in dispute).

Full refunds

A full refund of prepaid fees is available if we cancel an engagement for reasons within our control before planning work starts, or if you withdraw in writing before we begin planning and before any non-refundable third-party costs are incurred.

Partial refunds

If you cancel after planning has started but before fieldwork, we may refund the unused portion after deducting planning time already performed and confirmation fees already paid to banks or counterparties. Percentages are calculated from time records attached to the engagement letter.

Non-refundable items

• External confirmation fees already paid to banks or counterparties
• Travel booked for inventory observation with your written approval
• Specialist valuation fees incurred with your prior consent
• Administrative deposit portions labelled non-refundable in the engagement letter once planning kick-off has occurred

Deposits

Engagements typically require a planning deposit. The deposit is applied to the final fee. Unused deposit amounts after a permitted cancellation are returned under the partial-refund rules above.

Cancellation & rescheduling

You may reschedule fieldwork with at least ten business days’ notice without a rescheduling fee, subject to our calendar. Shorter notice for inventory observation days may incur a day-rate charge if a team was reserved and cannot be reassigned.

No-shows

If our team arrives for a confirmed on-site day and key records or staff are unavailable without prior notice, the day rate remains payable and is not refundable.

Work already started

Once fieldwork sampling or inventory observation has begun, fees for completed procedures are earned and non-refundable. Remaining unused stages may be cancelled with a partial refund of prepaid amounts for those stages.

Refund process & timing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within twenty-one business days of approval. We confirm the amount in writing before transfer.

Exceptions

Engagement letters may set stricter or more specific refund terms for a particular audit. Where they conflict with this page, the signed letter controls.
