Engagement note
Limited review engagement
Inquiry and analytical procedures for boards that need interim comfort on financial information without a full audit opinion.
A limited review gives boards and shareholders a measure of comfort on interim figures when a full statutory audit is not required. We perform inquiry and analytical procedures, then issue a review report that clearly states the limited nature of the work.
Who it is for
Companies facing mid-year shareholder meetings, covenant check-ins, or ownership discussions that need more than management’s own pack but less than a full audit.
What is included
Planning call, analytical review of key accounts, inquiry with finance staff, and a written review report. Inventory observation is not automatic; it is added only if the interim period requires it.
What is excluded
An audit opinion, detailed control testing of the depth used in statutory audits, and rewriting of management presentations for the board.
Timeline & delivery
Most reviews complete in three to five weeks. Work can be partly remote when ledgers are accessible, with at least one on-site day preferred for inquiry.
Pricing
Fixed fee from ¥420,000 per reviewed period, depending on entity complexity and the volume of unusual transactions.
Next step
